Spinach, Avocado and Blueberry smoothie

This recipe is a combination of my three favoutite foods...Blueberries, avocado and Spinach.

It is a an extreme wellness recipe that would dovetail well with every get well health program. It is rich in healthy essential fatty acids, saturated fats, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.


Every one of my clients have as a daily regimen a single smoothie a day for there is no easier and more efficient way to maximise nutrition without spending hours preparing food.


Blueberry, Avocado and Spinach Smoothie.

Serves: 1



  • 1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries

  • 1 cup Organic spinach leaves

  • 1 cup almond or coconut milk (for added benefit soak 1 cupful of almonds in the blender overnight with water and this will replace the store bought carton almond milk)

  • 1/2 ripe medium-large avocado

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds and or flax seeds

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 scoop protein powder - (Revolution Foods do a really good sprouted plant protein)

  • Cube fresh ice




  1. Blitz everything in the blender

  2. Serve in glas or bowl.

  3. (optional) Add a few fresh blueberries (optional) and decoratively cut kiwi.

  4. (optional) Sprinkle some Spirulina for added umph. At the minute you can get 1/2 kilo of organic spirulina in Fodder which is amazing quality.
